Prairie Soccer Club is a non-profit organization that encourages the sport of youth soccer in a enjoyable and welcoming environment. The club is is part of the Washington State Youth Soccer Association (WSYSA). Our mission is to provide as many kids as possible with a quality recreational soccer experience, while also providing them with an opportunity to play at an advanced level when they get older. PSC promotes community involvement, the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, respect, and healthy living.
It costs about $65,000 to operate a successful season, or about $95 per child. Costs include coach training, referee payments, field improvements and fees, as well as equipment (balls, goals, nets). Each year, over 100 volunteers donate thousands of hours of time working directly with the kids through coaching and performing field maintenance on 16 home fields.
Prairie Soccer Club welcomes community organizations and business that can help us achieve our mission through sponsorships. PSC plays home games at Pleasant Valley and Laurin Schools in Battle Ground as well as at Hockinson Meadows Community Park. We have two seasons of play each year: Fall (August - October) with 70 teams and 700 players and Spring (March - May) with 30 teams and 300 players. Our teams play other teams from around the Vancouver area. During home games, an additional 3000 players will be exposed to field advertising.
