About Us

Mission Statement

The mission of Prairie Soccer Club is to provide as many kids as possible with a quality recreational soccer experience, while also providing them with an opportunity to play at an advanced level when they get older.

About Our Club

Prairie Soccer Club is a non-profit organization that encourages the sport of youth soccer in a enjoyable and welcoming environment. The club is affiliated with Columbia Youth Soccer Federation (CYSF), which is part of the Washington State Youth Soccer Association (WSYSA).

Last year at PSC, we had approximately 50 teams with over 500 boys and girls playing at the recreational or select soccer level.

Prairie Soccer Club generally serves the following schools or students in this area:

  • Prairie High School
  • Battle Ground Schools
  • Hockinson Schools
  • Pleasant Valley Schools
  • Laurin and Glenwood Schools

Your child can start playing soccer with Prairie Soccer Club at age 5. Other programs exist in the community for children under 5 years through the Vancouver Parks and Recreation, and also at local Indoor Sports Centers. Participation is broken into age groups designated as U6 through U18 ("U" meaning under) the age specified on July 31st of each year.

The recreational season begins with practice sessions in August (scheduled by the coach), with games beginning in September, normally following Labor Day. Younger ages play 8 weekly games in a season, older teams will play 10. There are also many pre-season, in-season, and post-season tournaments in southwest Washington in which to participate.

Prairie Soccer Club also has Advanced / Select teams beginning at U-11. These are organized through Pacific FC. This is an alliance of Eisenhower, Battle Ground, Lewis River, and Prairie Soccer clubs to provide a better selection of players and increase the competitive level of the teams.

We encourage our families to help the club by volunteering as a coach, assistant coach, board member, referee, or team parent. Please check our website for our current openings and written descriptions. Contact our Board for more information and directions on ways to get involved in this wonderful sport.

Please take the time to investigate the information throughout our website, if you don't find answers to your questions don't hesitate to contact us.
